THE PHIL ROBERTSON RACING TEAM

Phil Robertson Racing is a team dedicated to success through outstanding results. We will work with commitment and ambition to become recognised as the world’s best sailing team taking part in the world’s most exciting sailing events. The PRR team are athletes who are humble in their victories and dedicated to achieving their dreams.

Phil Robertson is an internationally renowned helmsman and skipper of some of the top racing yachts in the world. He has competed internationally since the age of 15 and is a regular competitor on the World Match Racing Tour, having led his team to victory in 2016, and the Extreme Sailing Series.
At only 24 years of age, James has already achieved a number of career ambitions. He ran an Olympic campaign for three years sailing a Nacra 17 and 49er ending in 2015. He races on the Extreme Sailing Series that he joined in 2014 and continues to this day. In 2016, he joined the World Match Racing Tour for the first time, winning the completion as part of the Phil Robertson Racing team (formerly known as WAKA Racing).
At just 23, Stewart has had a glittering start to his career. He is a graduate of the RNZYS Youth Training Programme and gone on to take part in four Extreme Sailing Series coming third in the 2015 event, second in the Red Bull Youth America's Cup, was part of the winning 2016 World Match Racing Tour Champion team and is five times National Champion in New Zealand.

Will grew up in a sailing family where he developed a passion for the sport which led into competing in all major dinghy classes. In 2006, he joined the RNZYS Youth Training Programme, graduating four years later with 11 international youth match racing regatta wins. After this WIll created FMJRacing, skippering and managing this team over three years, reaching an Open ISAF match race ranking of 5th. Later FMJRacing joined the Extreme Sailing Series while also competing in the inaugural Red Bull Youth Americas Cup placing second.
